Battery Life Rankings for the iPhone 16 Series and 2025 Models
Battery life is always a vital consideration whenever you purchase a phone. No one enjoys watching their phone die halfway through the day! We have evaluated the latest iPhones, including the iPhone 16 series, so you don’t have to worry as much. Let’s get to it!
iPhone Battery Life Rankings
The following is a chronological list of the iPhones Apple has released. The phones are ranked in terms of battery life based on real-world performances:
1.iPhone 16 Pro Max – 11h 22m
This model is a dream come true for heavy users. It has the longest battery life out of all the iPhones, withstanding over 11 hours of constant use. Its larger battery, coupled with better efficiency, is really good.

2.iPhone 15 Pro Max – 9h 35m
This phone has proven to be quite good even today. Streaming, gaming, and working have always been easy on this phone, and we can see why with 9.5 hours available.
3.iPhone 14 Pro Max- 9h 14m
For those on a budget but in need of solid battery life, this is a recommended choice.
4.iPhone 16 Plus – 8 hours 45 minutes
If you admire large screens, the Plus variant has both a wide screen and a casual usage battery life of 8.5 hours.

5.iPhone 13 Pro Max – 8 hours 41 minutes
Sometimes, older is still gold, and this model still works perfectly fine in 2025.
6.iPhone 16 Pro & iPhone 16 – 8 hours 19 minutes
Both the standard iPhone and the Pro version have the same endurance. The Pro model adds additional features, all the while not sacrificing battery life.

7.iPhone 14 Pro – 7 hours 49 minutes
Still small and powerful, but like the other Pro Max, battery life suffers a bit.

8.iPhone 15 – 7 hours 45 minutes
Fine for everyday usage, just not for over-the-top marathons on the screen.
9.iPhone 14 – 7 hours 22 minutes
Pretty good value option for light users and moderate use.
10.iPhone 13 – 7 hours 15 minutes
Still works well if you come across a good sale.
11.iPhone 12 – 6 hours 36 minutes
The oldest on the list and time to put away if you hate charging mid-day.
What happened to make newer iPhones last longer?
While most will probably guess battery size, it is no accident that Apple got its weathered optimizations where they are. Take the iPhone 16 series, for instance. They actively use advanced chips not to outperform the prior improvements, but software updates while every inch of software can alter battery usage. It’s quite common for newer devices with smaller batteries to be better than older ones.
